Kraig with a 'K' - Certified Yoga Teacher and Spa ReconstructionistUnder the direction of Michael Stein of Ashtanga of New Paltz, Kraig earned his Yoga Teacher Certification with the goal of helping others achieve wellness through yoga. While still recovering from numerous sports-related traumas and debilitating injuries to his spine, he found yoga to be the answer to repair both physical and mental traumas we sustain. He teaches a Warm Vinyasa-style of yoga in which the studio is heated between 80-85 degrees, allowing for the release of toxins and the ability of each student to go deeper into postures with less risk of injury. His class size is limited to 10 students so that proper attention is paid to each person.

Julia Erodsy - Yoga Specialist
Julia is a graduate of Haverford College, where she studied English and Psychology. In June 2012, she received her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Satya Yoga Center in Rhinebeck. She brings a multidisciplinary background to yoga teaching, with approaches ranging from literary studies, neuroscience, vinyasa, restorative poses, tai chi, Hindu philosophy, Quaker values – it’s all yoga, or somehow related! Her philosophy is that if you maintain yoga in your life, yoga will inevitably maintain you. In her classes, she strives to offer students different paths to practice so that they can choose how to walk with yoga every day. She feels never-ending gratitude for her teachers and her students. As someone who has had alopecia totalis since infancy (which just means she doesn’t have any hair), Julia believes that bald is beautiful, and that all kinds of physical difference are to be respected and celebrated.

The aim of the class is for the students to gain a greater awareness and appriciation for their body and inner peace as well as to leave feeling refreshed and balanced.
"I recently completed my 200hrs teacher training course at the Sivananda ashram in Madurai, India. This course taught me about the meditative, spiritual, and lifestyle aspects of yoga. When I was dealing with several traumas, yoga got me back in touch with my body and decreased my anxiety. Yoga has many benefits including decreased stress, increased flexibility and strength, toning and regulating the internal organs, improved concentration, and greater sense of connection with yourself and the world around you." -Nava

Lourdes Cruz - Adult & Children Dance Instruction
I began teaching social and competitive dance in 1998 at Fred Astaire's Dance Studio. Following several years of competing and coaching, I began exploring the variety of dance and music that encompass Salsa/Mambo. It did not take long to fall hopelessly in love with the richness of the rhythms and freedom for the movement. I currently continue my work at Fred Astaire's Dance Studios where I teach students ages three and up. I recently have begun intensive work on the dynamics of partnership and balance in the various styles of Salsa, Argentine Tango, and West Coast Swing.
Yolanda Marie Terralavoro, HHC
As an Elementary School Teacher working in the Hyde Park Central School District for the past 12 years, it was obvious that something was negatively affecting the learning, memory, and behavior of more children as each year passed. While informally studying all of the learning disabilities and behavior disorders that my students were suffering from, I found nutrition to be the underlying theme throughout. So naturally, nutrition became my focus of study to try and help my students understand that what they put into their bodies, affects every aspect of their health and well being.
I wrote an informational booklet through Marist College for my students and their families in the hopes of making positive changes in their lives. I continued my studies and graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC. As a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach, I was trained in more than 100 dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person's food is another person's poison, and that's why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I'll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success!
Come to one of my workshops or join my 6-month individualized program and gain the knowledge to make positive changes in your life starting today, because 'Knowledge is Power'. I look forward to meeting you and sharing your journey to ultimate health and wellness!
For Elana, one of the greatest joys in life is witnessing people connect to their own authenticity. She began working with NVC in 2001 and has been studying and practicing Transformational Kinesiology since 2004, with amazing results for both herself and the people she works with. People say they can hardly believe the transformation that has taken place in their lives through this work and are amazed at who they become and all of the positive ways they show up in the world as a result.
